What policies and procedures do I need to be aware of when using the Y's saunas or hot tubs?
You must be 18 or older to use our saunas and/or hot tubs.
Consult your physician prior to using the saunas or hot tubs, especially if you have a medical condition such as heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, respiratory problems or are pregnant. Due to high heat and humidity, use of the saunas and/or hot tubs increases your pulse rate and body temperature and impacts your blood pressure level. Individual effects are unpredictable and could be physically hazardous.
Limit usage of the saunas and/or hot tubs to a maximum of 10 minutes. Longer use may result in nausea, dizziness or fainting.
Altering controls, pouring liquids on the thermostat or rocks, using aromatics, and/or shaving are not permitted at any time in our saunas or hot tubs. Additionally, food and drinks are not permitted.
To provide everyone with the healthiest experience possible, shower before entering the hot tub.
